What We Do and How We Do it
HomeTaxSudan was born during the 2019 Sudanese uprising. From day one, we have been dedicated to providing aid to those in need in Sudan. Our organization was founded with the goal of making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities in Sudan who have been affected by poverty, conflict, displacement, and other challenges.
One of our core areas of focus is providing humanitarian aid to those affected by conflict and displacement. Our work revolves around providing donations for food, shelter, and medical assistance to those who have been forced to flee their homes due to violence and unrest.
Our team is made up of passionate individuals who are committed to working towards providing emergency assistance and support to those in need. We transparently work closely with local partners and community leaders to identify the most pressing needs and run targeted campaigns that can make a real difference in people's lives.
What is happening on the ground?

Violence broke out in Sudan on April 15 between the army and a paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The two groups were previously allies after overthrowing former dictator Omar al-Bashir in 2019, but have since been at odds over plans for a new transition and the integration of the RSF into the regular army.

The fighting has led to over 450 deaths and caused a humanitarian crisis, with people forced to remain in their homes and stock up on essential supplies during brief pauses in the battles.

Numerous countries have closed their embassies and evacuated their personnel, and the UN has moved most of its foreign staff out of the country.

There have been bombings and gun battles in residential areas, leading to damaged buildings and a collapse of the healthcare system.

Soaring food and fuel prices are exacerbating problems for ordinary Sudanese.

There are concerns that the conflict could awaken conflict in Darfur and have a wider impact on the region.
